    didn’t know you fished ?!
so, fall or spring on the brule?
    – have you ever fished the hex hatch up there?

Hey Paul, yea, all my life!! Fall for sure and i’m not much of a ‘hatch’ guy.. but I’ve heard stories.. prefer terrestrials late summer.. bead-heads in deep clear pools.. and undiscovered brook trout streams

    Timmer,
Them some sick steelies…well done. The Brule is the shit. I’ve been skunked the two times I’ve been there, but I’m with my brother in-law, not a pro. Nice show.

  4. Timmer, you fish the Brule!!!
I started steelhead fishing there back in 1978 when I was 20 years old. I pulled a fair number of steelies out of the Brule over the years. Mostly 5 and 6 pounders. I got into a run one time down at the Horseshoe where the steelies were rolling. I put on a flatfish and they hit it like a bass on a crankbait. I caught a 6 pound brown out of Sucker Hole another time. Last time there was ’98 I think. I mostly use Mepps spinners and Little Cleos. Jay
