2007 Spring classics predictions

I usually send out an e-mail to anyone who shares my interest in taking a stab at predicting winners in the least predictable races; Tour of Flanders, Ghent-Wevelgem and Paris Roubaix..  this year i thought i’d post them here.. reply with your critizism or your own prediction.. there are no winners or losers here.. only try’ers..

Tour of Flanders:

1st. Boogard. I think this guy is due. Don’t be surprised if i’m close with Robobank taking the Ronde. But I think Boodard could pull a solo similar to Sorenson’s solo win in ’97.. 2nd. Zabel over Bettini for a small group sprint for the podium.

Ghent-Wevegem:

Another tough guy sprint but an Ausi will surprise.. either Allan Davis, McEwen or O’Grady?

1st O’Grady, 2nd Zabel, 3rd Luca Paolini

Paris-Roubaix:

I’ve expressed this prediction with a couple of people and it didn’t get much of a response.. as i suspect it won’t here.. but..

1st Roger Hammond, 2nd Steffen Wesemann, 3rd Stuart O’Grady (modified 4/12)
